Family Fun!

Coordinating a large family shoot can be stressful and chaotic. Just getting everyone to one place at one time is a challenge enough, let alone all looking your best! As part of a big family myself, I know how crazy an attempt at getting one good family picture is, but with lots of help and cooperation from all the kids, this family seems to have pulled it off easily! It was so fun to capture the excitement between cousins and grandparents, especially since all families were from different states. In the end, I know these great family pictures are worth all the work that was put into getting them taken.

Edwards Family

What a great day to stroll through Nancy Creek Park with the Edwards family- one of the cutest, most photogenic families I have shot yet! Emily captivated me with her shy smile and Pete’s boyish grin was contagious. Spencer seemed a little skeptical at first, but that twinkle in her eye tells me it's only a matter of time before she's right in the mix with her big brother and sister. Siblings are so much fun!

The Owens Grandkids

When my sister approached me about taking photos of all her kids as well as the rest of the Owens grandkids, I was a little nervous at first. We're talking 6 kids 5 and under! But then I remembered how fun, silly, and adorable they are and I thought- even though this might be crazy, it'll be worth it! And I was right! We had so much fun despite a little chaos and even when Juliana tried to head dive into the creek on her own, I managed to get one of my favorite shots from the whole session out of it. These kids have so much love and personality oozing from them and it's very evident in these photos. 

To the Owens Family- Thank you all for trusting me to capture the lively personalities of you little ones- I hope I did them justice!

Baby James

I was so happy to meet sweet baby James and his mom and dad. Another tiny newborn, James was sleepy and cuddly as ever! With his adorable pursed lips, he had a mean "Blue Steel" look. Whether asleep or awake, this baby was calm and content, especially when tucked tight in mom or dad's arms. I don't think he made sound louder than a whimper the entire time!

Jessica and Andy, (and Jessica's mom!) thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to capture the sweetest moments of your new family. Enjoy!

Baby Jack

I don't know what happened around 9 months ago, but it sure seems like there are a lot of babies being born right now! During this newborn season, I have had the pleasure of capturing those quickly passing first moments between parents and their new babies. It just doesn't get old! One of my favorite things to witness is that despite all the newness that comes with being a first time parent, mom and dad inevitably seem the most comfortable (and happy!) when they are cuddling their new bundle of joy. And same goes for Baby Jack, who was obviously the most at ease in their arms.

Adair and Brad, thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to capture some beautiful memories of your new family. I know you are going to enjoy every minute with him!

Baby Hana

I so enjoyed reconnecting with Kelly and meeting her precious new addition, Hana Lynne! Although a little hesitant at first, Hana finally relaxed and let me capture her in all of her tiny newborn glory. What a cutie! As much as I tried to calm and relax her, she made her preference for mom and dad clear from the start. Isn't it amazing how strong that bond is at only 10 days old!?

Hudson is 1!

It was so fun to capture Hudson's huge 1 year milestone, but bittersweet at the same time. I love getting to see my Baby Plan clients every 6 months to check in on the latest accomplishments- in this case, WALKING! It is so cool to witness the transformation from newborn to baby to toddler, and I will miss seeing Hudson's progress as he sets out to conquer the world! 

Kate and Steve, it has been a honor being part of Hudson's first year in this world. He is adorable and his love for life is contagious! Have fun chasing him!
