Baby Rowan

Getting up close and personal with a snuggly little newborn is something that will never get old. I always feel lucky to be reminded of how quickly things can change, especially in those first fleeting moments of life. By simply breathing, Rowan is instant cuteness. AND he is automatically cool because of his name- love it! Ben and Emmy, thank you for inviting me to capture the love and pure joy Rowan has already brought to your family in his short time with you. I know it's going to grow by the minute!

The Kasten Family Alaskan Experience!

This past May my family was lucky enough to visit Alaska! It was an amazing trip full of stunning views and a completely different culture. We are so grateful to the Kastens for coming up with this crazy idea and making it happen! Here are some highlights!

Baby Carter

It is always a shock to me when I show up at a new baby's home and the parents are completely calm, collected and put-together. Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure my house was the opposite of that those first weeks we brought our baby home! I was very impressed with both mom and dad's confidence handling baby Carter, and you could tell he was very comforted by them. I am always in awe of how fast the bond between a baby and his parents develops. While Carter did great sleeping in my little nest of blankets, he was clearly the most content in mom or dad's arms.

Leonora and Brian, congratulations on your precious baby boy. Thank you for welcoming me into your home to capture some of his first snuggly moments with you. Enjoy!

The Stewart Family

As one of 5 girls in my family, I know how sweet the love of sisters can be. It is particularly precious in this case of a bright eyed blonde cutie with bouncing curls who adores her brand new sister. Despite the busy schedule of an almost 2 year old (play with stickers, cook breakfast, eat a popsicle...) it was so cute to see Emmy constantly checking in on her little sister. I can already tell they are going to be best friends!

Thorp Family

I have said this over and over but I feel so lucky to have clients that come back to me every year. The first time I met Leighton, he had just mastered the skill of sitting up unassisted. I remember getting down on the ground to shoot him on his level as he proudly leaned over and tried to reach me. Fast forward 4 years and I find myself sprinting around the park, trying to reach him! So much changes in the early years of a child and I feel so honored to have been able to document these exciting moments for the Thorps. Raegan and David, thank you for inviting me to be part of Leighton's childhood. He is even more sweet today than the day I met him!

Hudson's 7 Month Pictures

It's always hard to believe how much can change between a baby's first pictures and 7 months later! I love getting to see babies grow and it was so fun to watch Hudson becoming a little man. My favorite part about our shoot was watching his eyes light up at the sight of mom or dad. It's hard to tell who is more in love! Katie and Steve, thanks for having me back to capture another huge milestone for Hudson. I can't wait for the big 1 year photoshoot!

Baby Cole

My heart always melts when I get the opportunity to photograph newborns, and Baby Cole was no exception. His sleepy little body cuddled right into my arms and I almost didn't want to put him down! Obviously we had to get some great shots so I gave in, and he was happy to cooperate. Towards the end he was in a total milk coma and that's how we got those amazing shots with his arms propping his chin up. Isn't he scrumptious?!

Drea and Jason, Thank you again! for welcoming me into your home (do I feel like your annoying roommate yet?!). It was such a treat to be part of this new exciting change in your family.
