Baby Charlie

I am always honored when someone books me for a newborn shoot because it means they trust me with some of their most treasured first moments as a new family. Moments that will pass by quickly and cannot be replicated (no pressure!). It was truly an honor to be part of those first moments with my good friends, Mary and Grant, and their beautiful new baby, Charlie. It's not often I hear a parent say "I didn't think it would be this easy" during a shoot. Actually, I don't think I've EVER heard that! But Charlie was set on making me look good and giving me his full cooperation. We're buds.

Mary and Grant, you've done good! Charlie is perfect and could not be more precious. Enjoy!

Oliver Family

It was a sad day when I learned the Oliver family was moving to Texas. Drea and I had become friends through a moms group and I had the privilege of shooting both her boys as babies and newborns so I was sad to see them go. Lucky for me, they were in town for a wedding and we were able to sneak in some pictures! Carter and Cole have already grown up so much and are becoming big boys too fast! I couldn't get over their stylish little outfits... total baby models!

Drea and Jason, it was great as always to see you (and your parents!) and catch up with your adorable family. Enjoy the Holidays!

Baby Eleanor

I had the absolute pleasure of working with this adorable family again, after the addition of another sweet girl. Baby Eleanor couldn't have been more snuggly in all her teeny tiny glory. I recently had my second baby boy, which has given me a whole new appreciation for the special bond between siblings. In only a few short days, you can see how much big sister Evie already adores her baby sister. It is a love so pure and beautiful to witness.

Hilton Head 2014

Here's a glimpse of our fun-filled week at the Beach with the Kastens. Sorry if it comes across more like the Nolan Show... he just has a lot more energy than the rest of us and therefore is way more entertaining :) (sorry Court).

Baby Emory

I am so excited to wrap up my photography season for the year with this sweet baby girl. This couple is particularly special to me because I shot their wedding what seems like ages ago! I was honored when they asked me to do their first baby, big sister Holland, and now I get the pleasure of meeting sweet Emory. Can you believe those lashes?! Such gorgeous eyes and skin- it was hard to get a bad shot.

Hundley Family

It was such a great day at Nancy Creek Park, running around with Weis and little brother Christian. Weis always keeps me on my toes with all his energy, but I love it! You can see it oozing from his eyes and his giddy little smile. Christian was a little shy at first and took some time to warm up, but when he did, it was worth the wait!

Dooley Family

I was so happy to capture life with 5 for the Dooleys. Sweet Caroline joined the family about 6 months ago, making everything more fun and exciting! You can see how much she already adores her older siblings and it's obvious the feelings are mutual.

Longo Family

One of my favorite ages to photograph is toddlers just learning to walk. The world has just opened a new door full of possibilities and everything is so exciting to them! Lucy was in all her glory during our shoot as she discovered the world around her on her own terms. Those bright blue eyes were soaking it all in. With a family as photogenic as the Longos and the most gorgeous backyard ever, I couldn't go wrong!

Baby Grace

I was so happy to reconnect Allie, a college friend and sorority sister. Allie and I both took art classes in college so I know she has an eye for detail and as an art history minor, she knows her fine art... pressure was on! I so enjoyed seeing her in her new role as a mom and how naturally it all came to her. Baby Grace couldn't have been easier to work with- perfectly content to sleep or be cradled in mom or dad's arms. Such a sweet happy girl!

Baby Emmett

As you can see, Baby Emmett is all smiles and chubby cheeks! It was so fun to document the playful way this family interacted. All it took was one look from mom or dad and Emmett's eyes lit up with excitement! With those huge baby blues and that drooly smile, it was hard to get a bad shot of him!

Family Fun!

Coordinating a large family shoot can be stressful and chaotic. Just getting everyone to one place at one time is a challenge enough, let alone all looking your best! As part of a big family myself, I know how crazy an attempt at getting one good family picture is, but with lots of help and cooperation from all the kids, this family seems to have pulled it off easily! It was so fun to capture the excitement between cousins and grandparents, especially since all families were from different states. In the end, I know these great family pictures are worth all the work that was put into getting them taken.

Edwards Family

What a great day to stroll through Nancy Creek Park with the Edwards family- one of the cutest, most photogenic families I have shot yet! Emily captivated me with her shy smile and Pete’s boyish grin was contagious. Spencer seemed a little skeptical at first, but that twinkle in her eye tells me it's only a matter of time before she's right in the mix with her big brother and sister. Siblings are so much fun!

The Owens Grandkids

When my sister approached me about taking photos of all her kids as well as the rest of the Owens grandkids, I was a little nervous at first. We're talking 6 kids 5 and under! But then I remembered how fun, silly, and adorable they are and I thought- even though this might be crazy, it'll be worth it! And I was right! We had so much fun despite a little chaos and even when Juliana tried to head dive into the creek on her own, I managed to get one of my favorite shots from the whole session out of it. These kids have so much love and personality oozing from them and it's very evident in these photos. 

To the Owens Family- Thank you all for trusting me to capture the lively personalities of you little ones- I hope I did them justice!

Baby James

I was so happy to meet sweet baby James and his mom and dad. Another tiny newborn, James was sleepy and cuddly as ever! With his adorable pursed lips, he had a mean "Blue Steel" look. Whether asleep or awake, this baby was calm and content, especially when tucked tight in mom or dad's arms. I don't think he made sound louder than a whimper the entire time!

Baby Jack

I don't know what happened around 9 months ago, but it sure seems like there are a lot of babies being born right now! During this newborn season, I have had the pleasure of capturing those quickly passing first moments between parents and their new babies. It just doesn't get old! One of my favorite things to witness is that despite all the newness that comes with being a first time parent, mom and dad inevitably seem the most comfortable (and happy!) when they are cuddling their new bundle of joy. And same goes for Baby Jack, who was obviously the most at ease in their arms.

Adair and Brad, thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to capture some beautiful memories of your new family. I know you are going to enjoy every minute with him!

Baby Hana

I so enjoyed reconnecting with Kelly and meeting her precious new addition, Hana Lynne! Although a little hesitant at first, Hana finally relaxed and let me capture her in all of her tiny newborn glory. What a cutie! As much as I tried to calm and relax her, she made her preference for mom and dad clear from the start. Isn't it amazing how strong that bond is at only 10 days old!?

Hudson is 1!

It was so fun to capture Hudson's huge 1 year milestone, but bittersweet at the same time. I love getting to see my Baby Plan clients every 6 months to check in on the latest accomplishments- in this case, WALKING! It is so cool to witness the transformation from newborn to baby to toddler, and I will miss seeing Hudson's progress as he sets out to conquer the world! 

Kate and Steve, it has been a honor being part of Hudson's first year in this world. He is adorable and his love for life is contagious! Have fun chasing him!

Baby Grayson

They say you forget how small newborns really are, since that phase is over so quickly. When I had Nolan, I was sure I'd never forget the way he fit easily in my two hands, or those sheep-like noises he made. Now, as I chase him around the house, it's hard to imagine those things. Luckily, being a newborn photographer allows me to re-live those too short memories again and again. And I love it!

Baby Grayson was the perfect reminder of how tiny newborns really are. As much as I tried to pull his little arms and feet out, he quickly tucked them back in and curled up as tight as he could, making himself even smaller. Although he never got into a deep sleep for me, it was obvious he was most comfortable and relaxed while snuggled up in mommy's arms.

Liz and Tyler, it was an honor for me to be there for some of Grayson's first moments and capture how sweet and perfect he is. One day when you're chasing him around the house, I hope these images will remind you of how tiny he once was!

Ryan + Cassidy

After 3 years, it was such a treat to go back and see the Taylor family. Little Ryan wasn't even old enough to sit up last time I saw him, and this time, he was proud to help his little sister with the task. Besides Cassidy's big brown eyes and radiant smile, my favorite thing to capture was the sweet innocent love between the two siblings. Pure joy!

Baby Mackenzie

The doctor described baby Mackenzie as "perfect" and I have to say, I agree with him! What an angel this little girl is. I don't think I've ever seen a baby with such furry golden hair. Beautiful! She was so good for us and it was easy to see that mom and dad were naturals parents.
